Martin Andrews
Martin is one of Britain's leading glass makers, known for high quality, attention to fine detail, innovative surface treatments and design ideas. His inspiration comes particularly from water and organic sea forms. He uses the qualities of molten glass and its many transitional states of fluidity, transparency or opacity in an attempt to capture a moment in time. The crash of a wave, the swirl of a tide, the gathering of dusk. Martin Andrews studied at West Surrey College of Art and Design, Glass BA (hons) and was hot glass assitant to Asa Brandt, Torshalla, Sweden . He set up his own practice in 2000.
