The Anne Toms’ Yarmouth Gallery is a small and stylish exhibition space located at the heart of the ancient town of Yarmouth, at the westerly corner of the beautiful Isle of Wight.
Judith Nicoll
Judith is a renowned specialist bird carver. She had no formal art training and was originally inspired by the stylised form of the decoy shorebirds and ducks of the eastern seaboard of the USA and started to experiment with different woods and finishes to create her own. Favourite carvings for her are groups of shorebirds, runners, sentinels and feeders. She says 'shorebirds look as old as washed up sea-shore planks'.
Coot
carved from wood and stained black, this piece captures the very essence of the eager forward movement through the water.
