GLASS

We bring together the work of glass makers from around the UK.

Margaret Johnson

Strawsilk Glassware

Having studied at Goldsmith's and taught for many years, Margaret now works from her Devon studio. Her unique pieces use strawsilk fibres, handmade paperand gold or silver leaf applied to the glass. Insired by water and shimmering shoals of fish, the work is a celebration of colour, texture and translucency.

Gregg Anston-Race

Fused Glass

Cornishman Gregg has run his own glass studio for over 20 years. Each piece is individually handcrafted by Gregg with the fusing technique he has evolved meaning no two pieces are the same. Gree is inspired by the wild landscape of Cornwall and the swirling waves crashing against its rugged coastline.

RD Glass

Handmade Fused Glass by Roxanne Denny

Roxanne fell in love with the possibilities of glass and the way it played with light while she was studying for her Applied Arts degree. In her distictive, bold pieces, flat sheets of coloured glass are layered together and then fused into a single piece in a kiln, 'slumped' over a mould to create their curved shapes.

Isle of Wight Glass

Handblown Studio Glass

This award winning studio was founded by renowned glass artist Michael Harris in 1973 and is now run by his son Timothy. With pieces in the Royal Collection, the studio focusses on excellence and innovation in both design and production.
