The Easter duck race on the river Yar is always fun - even when the weather is less than perfect and all the ducks sail off in the wrong direction, like last year. Our valiant YG duck, Picasso, will be joining the race again this year, ever hopeful. Please go to facebook.com/destinationyarmouth to vote for Picasso Duck in the best dressed duck competition.
Hope you find time to drop into Yarmouth Gallery sometime during the Easter Holiday we have splendid craft work, paintings and prints to covet.
Our newest arrival is a beautiful little consignment of clocks and jewellery from Jill Stewart.
Jill Stewart is a nationally known jeweller and metal artist who specialises in unusual combinations of metals, using silver with etched copper and brass, and heat-treated titanium. She uses heat to heighten contrasts and create painterly surface colourings.
We have stocked her work for some years now and it a thrill to have new pieces to add to her display. I particularly love the curlews clock - engraved "the twilight darkens, the curlew calls"
19 cm wide & 20cm tall it is designed to hang on the wall. Find them listed under 'buy art'
