In the mood for Summer

OK, I know it is a bit early but I have just finished arranging a display of Lis Toft's latest batch of ceramics and now I am thinking of the beach. Not the winter beach of storms and cool grey light but the turquoise, sparkling sea of summer and I am dreaming ahead to the grandchildren rushing across the sand to the sea.

Lis Toft works in porcelain, using sumptuous bronze and turquoise glazes to create a range of pots that reflect her island home. Rock-pools, sea-horses, swaying seaweed, are all mirrored in her pots and she continues that theme in her miniatures and her jewellery. Why wait for summer?
