We're absolutely thrilled with the new range of Die-Cut cards that arrived at Yarmouth Gallery this week. They feature the work of Wildlife Artist Shelly Perkins, who has been designing for over 20 years.
Shelly is inspired by the beautiful landscapes of rural Britain - especially the countryside of Worcestershire, where she works from her home studio.
She combines traditional drawing and painting techniques with digital collage, building up layers of watercolour washes, scanned textures and pencil line drawings to create illustrations with great depth and detail.
Shelly's illustration clients include BBC Wildlife magazine, The Radio Times, National Trust and RSPB.
She also runs painting holidays abroad in the wilds of Africa and Yosemite, and founded the cooperative gallery, The Artist's Gallery, in Ludlow, Shropshire.
Shelly travels extensively, always with a sketchbook and camera to hand. She frequently exhibits her work, sold as limited edition prints, and gives lectures on wildlife and her work across the country.
Shelly's card designs are published in the UK by Emma Ball Ltd. Each 6inx6in card, printed on sustainable board, comes with a cream envelope in a clear biodegradable sleeve.
The cards are £2.80 each.
As well as the designs shown here, we have another 6 designs in stock, featuring Deer, Badgers, Foxes, Woodpeckers and Chickens.
