Almost time to open the first window! Remember what agony that seemingly eternal wait for Christmas was when you were a child? These days it is more of a panic to be sure you have done everything to create the perfect big day for your family - such a responsibility. That is why an Advent Calendar is so reassuring, marking off the days and keeping the magic alive. For the grown ups it says "OK, don't panic there is still time, and see how it is going to be worth all the extra work" as the children, excited by every window opened and the promise that Christmas is one day closer take exactly the opposite message. Miraculous!
